BAS hits year low




Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. (BAS) shares hit a 52-week low after a tough day's trading yesterday.


BAS's share price slipped 50 cents (7.7 percent) down to $6, having previously reached $6.75 earlier this year, with 5,594 shares as changed hands.

Butterfield Bank traded the most shares at 10,793, while their share value held firm at $64.

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) suffered as a whole, losing 4.56 points (0.09 percent) to close at 5,329.97.

16,427 shares were traded in total, with a turnover of $724,916.

The BSX Insurance Index finished up 1.93 percent at 1,268.99.
