Police seek witnesses to Warwick road crash

By Mikaela Ian Pearman

Police received a report of a road traffic accident when a bike and car collided at the junction of Middle Road and Allspice Gardens in Warwick.

The collision happened on Sunday when the car was travelling north and the motorcycle west.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 35-year-old Warwick man, sustained a cut over his right eye, a cut to his right leg and an injury to his foot. He was taken to hospital via ambulance for treatment.

The driver of the car, a 22-year-old Paget woman, was not injured.

The motorcycle and the car received moderate damage.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident particularly the female driver of taxi T1818, who is believed to be the first person at the scene following the collision, to contact PC Lesa Stovell at the Somerset Police Station on 234-1010.

■ Around 12.45 a.m. on Sunday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision where a Sandys man lost control of the car and hit a wall.

The 25-year-old was travelling west on North Shore road and hit the wall at the junction of Marsh Lane in Pembroke.

He sustained minor injuries but the car received extensive front end damage and the wall received minor damage.

■ Over the weekend there was one person arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and five reported burglaries.

There were also ten reported damage only road traffic collisions, eight reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and six stolen vehicles.
